Snorkeling activity and field excavation were carried out with active participation of all the teachers, parents and local snorkeling experts on 25th October 2018. All the students were very enthusiastic and they have expressed their interest to snorkel again in their surrounding reef. Teachers helped lower grade students to identify marine animals, habitats and the sites where anthropogenic activities has resulted in coral bleaching!

The students of Grade 8, 9 and 11 were given a session on protection of marine ecosystems and awareness about plastic pollution. Several activities were conducted to enhance the sense of students towards protection of marine ecosystem and about sustainable practices. The students were then taken for snorkeling, by giving them snorkeling kits and life jackets.

Student's group collected plastic wastes from school surrounding and disposed it in waste disposal area. Students made cloth bags for shopping to avoid plastic bags.

Presentation on hazards caused by Ocean macro and microplastic was given. Activities comprised of actions and ideas to reduce plastic waste.
